In the heart of Gaziantep's coppersmith bazaar, a captivating scene unfolded before my eyes one summer day in 2021. As I strolled through the vibrant marketplace, my gaze was drawn to an elderly craftsman slumbering peacefully with his head resting on a taboret perched atop a hammer. It was a moment of striking contrast: the very tool he used to shape and fashion his livelihood now cradling him in repose. In that instant, I was struck by the resilience and ingenuity of the human spirit, and the myriad ways in which we carve out our lives through the work of our hands.
